the music started and everyone rose from their seats. there she was, at the top of the stairs in her grandmother’s gown with added pieces of her other grandma and her mother’s wedding dresses. travis looked at her as if he was looking straight to her heart. his eyes flooded with tears as she walked towards him. they got to the front, and her dad looked at travis, and back to his beautiful daughter. “i am a blessed man today” he said, “i could not be more honored, to be giving the hand of our princess to this incredible man”. he hugged her, kissed her forehead, “i love you daddy” she whispered. he then passed her hand to travis. following was one of the most powerful, personal and meaningful ceremonies i have ever witnessed. the words spoke were filled with truth, reality and kindness. both scott and i couldn’t help but wipe the tears out of our eyes, we both couldn’t believe what an amazing experience it was to be a part of.

traci and travis love. they love fiercely. it is the type of love that makes everyone stop and stare. they are ones to be looked up to, and after spending the day with them and their friends and family it became evident that people around them do look up to them. they are humble leaders and are the true definition of joy. as travis’s mom said during the reception, traci makes travis’s gigantic heart sparkle, and travis makes her glow. he is a manly man, but a softy. she is a little girl at heart, but so wise beyond her years. together they are the perfect pair. a pair who loves with all their heart, and lives out every moment. she giggles and he wipes the hair from her face. he smiles and her heart melts. it is a love that is inpsiring and captivating, and i love how they have already started their happily ever after in everything they do.

i would like to also give a shout out to the bridal party ~ you were some of the most kind and supportive friends i have ever seen and traci and travis are so lucky to have friends like you in their lives. there was something special about the bond between you all, and i loved how much laughter and kindness you shared with eachother and everyone around you. the best man, evan, said an inspiring quote from catcher in the rye in his speech “The mark of the immature man is that he wants to die nobly for a cause, while the mark of the mature man is that he wants to live humbly for one.” ~ and i believe that is exactly what travis and traci are going to do. <3
