have you ever laughed so hard that your cheeks hurt at the end of the day? i have, and this weekend was exactly that. we were fortunate enough to be able to take the long weekend off for some much need down time, and enjoy the sunshine with my parents and my sister at our cabin (that we refer to as “bikini town”.. ;)) on shuswap lake, bc, canada. it is one of the most beautiful places i have ever been, and is one of my favorite places in this world. we don’t have electricity out there, so it was incredibly refreshing being away from work and computers and the business of regular life. i am learning more and more the importance of taking a break, stepping away and having time to reflect and spend uninterrupted quality time with the people i love. and by doing this every once and in a while, i have found that when i return to the office i am inspired and recharged!

the weather was absolutely AMAZING this weekend for it being march, and my sister and i even got to “get our bronze on” one day and lay out on the dock in our bikinis ~ it was like we fast forwarded to summer (a cold summer, but summer nonetheless ;)) and i was loving every minute of it, haha! i live for long sunny days filled with laughter and love, and couldn’t feel more fortunate to have gotten to spend the last couple days surrounded with my favorite people, laughing like crazy and just taking in the calmness of it all! here are a couple shots we grabbed over the weekend, and i hope that you all had an amazing Easter!!
