she read, quietly and slowly, intentional with every word that she spoke. she paused and looked him in the eye, and then would continue. her vows to him. her promises she swore to keep. the reasons why they are perfect for each other in every way. she spoke of the challenges and adventures they face together but what struck me is the way she spoke of their in-between. the ordinary every-day, imperfect moments where she loved him most. what a beautiful thing to recognize and cherish.

these two completed a half-iron-man together the day before, and then we hiked into this beautiful valley where they did their first look and exchanged their vows. it was such a romantic and special experience and i was so grateful to get to be there with them. i had never been to the big island before this, and even though i was only there for 24 hours it was really cool to get to see somewhere new and i can’t wait to go back! martina and greg were just beaming with happiness, such a cool adventure to start this next chapter together.
