i couldn’t be more thrilled to be announcing my specialization in my photography career on Monday, January 28th, 2013 along with the release of my new website and re-brand. this has been a process 10 months in the making, starting with an intensive business coaching program with jeff jochum and finishing with the amazing experience of working with website designer julie story on a custom website that portrays me and what i stand for. specializing in this type of industry does not limit you. it develops you and fulfills you. it is simply finding out what you love, why you love it and discovering the things that make you jump out of bed in the morning. yes, photography is one of those things. i love photography and photos and the feeling i get when i pick up my camera, but so does every other photographer out there. what my specialization will do, is establish me. what makes me different. why do i love photography? the answer is bigger than “because i love photos, or because I love love”. it goes deep into who i am and what i believe.  specializing it is not defining, but continuously growing. with direction. and with focus.

i love happily ever afters. i love optimism and glitter and laughing until it hurts. i have a strange need to put hotsauce on everything i eat and can’t seem to make myself drink a full glass of wine however hard i try. i love opportunity and taking risks, believing. i live for the unplanned moments, surprises and my own little fairytale. i believe things are what you make them. sure not everything is amazing and perfect, but there is something perfect and amazing in everything. i make the choice to see those things. not to dwell but to celebrate. to love the unplanned and to go with it. to celebrate fortunes and to recognize not only my own accomplishments and opportunities but to also celebrate these things for others around me. too many times do we down-play amazing opportunities, let enchanted moments pass by without experiencing them fully and hide fortune for fear of judgment. i want to change that. i want people to see they are so fortunate, and that that is amazing. to recognize their incredible beauty and talent and gifts. to take risks to accomplish their dreams, because they can do it. YOU CAN DO IT. i want to inspire people to be brave. to believe that life is a fairytale. to choose to live happily ever after.
