Mo’orea 2024 | Personal Blog

Really feeling the creativity and inspiration for photography come back alive on this trip and it feels good to just want to create beautiful images and shoot without any pressure or expectations for a while. Gonna keep posting my personal fav frames to the ‘gram even if my engagement is at an all time low on my personal account ha ha, so if you’ve seen this on the ‘gram, thank you for sticking around and I’m happy to have you here as I work on creating my own little art gallery of my life on this page again. To follow along on my adventures, click here 🙂

xx,
Meg

I’m not crying you’re crying. The house feels oddly quiet without these wingnuts tonight. We’ve spent more time in the water than out, laughed till we cried, told jokes, stories and dreams, took thousands of photographs, adventured and also did absolutely nothing. Lucky to have people in our life where it’s easy to sit and be still or dance and be wild, people who cry when we have to say goodbye and who love on our Charlie girl like she’s their own. The last 14 days have been such a blessing to get this time together. Safe travels home Steph, Kama and Micah, we love you all and Mo’orea won’t be the same without you! Can’t believe our month here is already half over. On to part 2!

Our Charlie. Happiest when covered in Tiare.

“Be present. And if you’ve had trouble with this in the past? That’s okay. That’s the nice thing about the present. It keeps showing up to vie you a second chance.” Ryan Holiday, Stillness is the Key

I want to be rich in fresh fruit and flowers, surrounded by friends who cheer for your wins and dinner conversations that gush over the best part of everyone’s day. Give me belly laughs and games that turn to meaningful conversations and encouragement and freshly baked bread. I love you’s before bedtime and good books and sunshine. Tiny voices singing good morning songs while chasing birds and entire days of being barefoot. This trip has been filled with beautiful scenes and adventures but more than that the small moments have been nourishing for the soul in so many ways.

“Look at all the colors mama. The best part of my day is right now.” We said goodnight to the fish and the coral and the sun as the sky faded from yellow to orange to pink then purple and blue. She sat on my lap the whole time and it was just the 2 of us quietly floating in the current. Tonight’s sunset paddle was one of my favorite moments with her.

In the words of Charlie… “we’re just memories now.” Thank you for the magic Mo’orea. Until next time.
