they stood together still. whispering and just taking in the quiet. things had been a bit crazy, they had both been anxious and it seemed like everything up to this point was pure chaos. a snowstorm in august, a torn bridesmaids dress, a missing suit for the best man, the incorrect flowers and even a breeze throughout the ceremony that would not stop blowing the veil, so much so that they forgot to say their personalized written vows during the ceremony. wedding days all have hiccups, that’s what makes for stories to tell afterwards, but what i loved most is how these two didn’t let any of it bother them. they were married, they committed their love and their lives to one another and that is all that mattered. once it came time for only the two of them to be photographed, they stood together and took a minute to just be. they were so comfortable wrapped up in eachothers arms, talking so closely to one another that they could slip in a kiss every 3 words. the sun shone down on them and the energy was perfect. no anxiety, no stress, no rushing. just love. when they were ready we gave them the papers with their written vows and the stood in the field facing eachother. they read their beautiful words to eachother with the low sunlight pouring in on them infront of the most gorgeous snow capped mountains and everything was perfect.
what an honor it was to photograph 2 such incredible, fun-loving goofy and beautiful people. ever since i photographed their engagement photographs i have admired how playful these two are together, they really are best friends and it’s easy for anyone to see. thank you michelle and jaimie for such a great day and congratulations again!! <3
