She walked up to the cliff for their first look and saw him standing there in the distance, she paused as her girls made sure her dress was perfect and you could see the excitement on her face. She made her way up to her soon to be husband and when he turned to see her he had the biggest smile. He held both of her hands in his and she slowly swayed back and forth showing off the flowiness of her dress. Their wedding party was spying on them from the shade of the trees and Mike took Mel’s hand as they walked off towards the cliff’s edge. The breeze felt amazing up there and the water was so the most incredible color of blue. We adventured around up there for a while, finding any and every patch of shade that we could to escape the heat but they never complained once and were so grateful all day to see the sun shining.

After the cliff, we snuck off to their reception space to soak up the air conditioning, and as I looked over they just started to ballroom dance – laughing and spinning on the dance floor. These two were filled with so much joy all day, they were so sweet and kind to one another and it was such an honor to get to capture all of these beautiful moments. Later that afternoon we joined their family and friends back down on the lawn of the Hyatt for their official ceremony in front of the ocean, followed by a beautiful celebration put on by the Grand Hyatt Kaua’i. Congrats again to these two and enjoy the photos!!
