they stood there, eyes closed, slowly breathing with their heads rested up against each-other mid ceremony. no one spoke as they took time midst a traditional wedding ceremony to just be still. to be with each-other and feel the presence of the love they had for one another. their friends and family standing by, almost forgetting to breath in the calmness of this beautiful moment. they weren’t rushing through their words or worrying about the heat of the day. they were there to be together. to be connected to each-other and to become so intertwined that it would be inconceivable to exist without the other for as long as they live.
throughout the day, regardless of the hustle and bustle or chaos around them, these two made sure to take time and be present with eachother. speaking when necessary and resting in the calmness of merely a touch when it was not. what a beautiful and confident love, and how lucky of me to get to capture that for them. if you have seen my enchanted elopement video you might recognize these two as we filmed them exchanging their personally written vows to eachother last fall on the side of a mountain, and it was so cool to get to see them celebrate this new chapter with their family and friends this last month. i love photographing elopements but when it feels right, i really really love being a part of these bigger celebrations as well and am going to continue taking on a few per year. i’ll let the photographs say the rest:) enjoy!
