They got up and started to dance to Disney’s “Lava” song, playfully singing every word swaying back and forth. We were slowly heading back to the dock after the most magical evening on the NaPali. Their ceremony blesses us with gentle rain, mysterious clouds and the calmest seas. We didn’t think there would be much of a sunset with the cloud cover but they danced anyways. And as the song ended, we turned around to see this. Our captain quickly turned the boat and they danced to their song again, this time into the sunset under the most epic sky. Sometimes the stars just align, and this was one of those days.
That afternoon when we arrived, Peter and I pulled up to the check-in office for Captain Andy’s, expecting to board one of their tour boats and photograph Tina and Mike’s elopement. We soon found out that we got THE ENTIRE BOAT to ourselves for their elopement and I was giddy excited!! Going out on the boat tours is one of my ALL TIME favorite things to do on Kauai, and this time it was just us, the raddest couple and an occasional pod of dolphins! 😉 We cruised down the coastline as they saw the NaPali for the first time and their minds were blown, as mine is every-time I see it. We got up to the Kalalau Valley and they said their sweet vows to one another as the mist rolled in and out of the cathedral mountains and gentle raindrops fell like confetti, it was pure magic. If anyone is looking for a relaxing, scenic and adventurous idea for their wedding, this is it!! So grateful for this special evening that we got to spend with these two, laughing and cheering to their new marriage and getting to capture these epic photographs! Thank you to Captain Andy’s for always being so rad, and enjoy the photos!
