Michael & Jessica | Intimate North Shore Elopement on Kauai

When Michael and Jessica reached out to us, they shared their vision for a simple, heartfelt day centered around connection, nature, and intention. As a Kauai wedding photographer and Kauai wedding videographer team, these are the moments we live for—intimate gatherings full of emotion, beauty, and a touch of adventure.

Their destination wedding day began on the lush north shore of Kauai, where Meg and Peter met the couple at their rental to capture getting ready moments and their first look. Jessica was absolutely stunning in a white satin gown with a dramatic train and a statement bow tied at the back. Her hair fell in soft, beachy curls, complementing the natural beauty of the island. Michael looked dapper in a deep forest green suit and brown shoes—effortlessly stylish and fitting for the lush setting.

From there, the couple followed us to a private waterfall venue that we helped coordinate for their ceremony. Before guests arrived, Jessica and Michael shared an emotional private vow reading in a quiet, jungly area—just the two of them, surrounded by the sounds of the island. Shortly after, their closest friends and family joined them for the ceremony led by Kamalani Chock, who performed a beautiful Hawaiian wedding ceremony complete with the conch shell blowing, ring blessing, and other cherished Hawaiian traditions. The backdrop was surreal—vibrant red anthuriums and tropical greenery surrounding the cascading waterfall.

After the ceremony, we made our way to a nearby beach that required a short hike to reach. With its black lava rocks, lush greenery, and golden sand, the beach felt completely secluded—perfect for golden hour portraits. One of our favorite memories from the day was when Jessica and Michael ran hand-in-hand into the ocean, her gown’s train floating through the sand in the most magical way.

The day wrapped with a private dinner at their rental home, where their guests were treated to a delicious meal by a private chef. Jessica changed into a sleek ivory satin gown, and Michael opted for a relaxed look with slacks and a sweater polo. Before dinner, he honored his heritage with the traditional breaking of the glass—another intentional and emotional moment that rounded out their day.

We feel so lucky to have been part of Michael and Jessica’s wedding photography and film experience. These are the moments that define what we do at Bradyhouse Studios—capturing the real, the raw, and the timeless.
