The day began with Kelsey Jo slipping into her breathtaking lace and tulle gown, her hair cascading in soft waves adorned with a white orchid. She held a lush tropical bouquet in shades of green and white, perfectly complementing the island setting. Before the ceremony, she shared a touching first look with her bridesmaids and father, capturing the emotional essence of the day. The family gathered for photos, including Kelsey Jo’s brother, who was also the officiant, and her mother. Meanwhile, Chris and the groomsmen were photographed preparing for the big day, dressed in sleek black slacks, white button-downs, and black bow ties, with Chris adding a sharp black coat for a classic, refined look.

Their decision to see each other for the first time at the ceremony only heightened the anticipation. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Hanalei Bay, the ceremony featured personal touches like a live violinist playing the couple’s favorite songs and a live painter capturing the scene as it unfolded. As guests arrived, they were each handed a box containing a butterfly, symbolizing transformation and new beginnings. After exchanging heartfelt vows, Kelsey Jo and Chris released a box of monarch butterflies, with their guests following suit—a symbolic and memorable moment that connected everyone to nature and the significance of their union.

Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a cocktail hour by the ocean, while Kelsey Jo and Chris slipped away for romantic sunset photos on the beach. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the reception space in a ballroom by the terrace welcomed guests to a gorgeous setup in a green and white palette, with wooden surfboard place cards as keepsakes for each guest. The evening continued with a lively grand entrance, complete with bubble guns from the bridal party, followed by a touching first dance and a surprise father-daughter slideshow prepared by Kelsey Jo, which added an extra layer of sentimentality to the celebration.
