Justine and Samuel walked up the path from their jungle bungalow hand in hand as the sun peaked through the trees. She twirled like a princess as he pulled her in close. They spent the majority of the day cuddled up, taking in Kauai’s amazing views and exchanging sweet little whispers between them back and forth.
One of my favorite things about Kauai weddings is the variety in location we are able to get within such a short distance. From being able to start in the forest and greenery to the red dirt cliffs overlooking the ocean to the sweeping canyon views there is always something magical around the corner and you never know what the conditions or the light will give you. I love when couples want to get up early and take advantage of the morning sunlight because the locations are typically empty and it’s always such a clean vibrant color for the photographs. Even better when we get to spend the full day together and take advantage of all of the different Kauai wedding spots at different times of day for epic variety. Also was totally obsessed with the back of Justine’s dress and her romantic florals, so dreamy for an elopement style day! One tip for Kauai elopement couples is when you are choosing a dress for your adventure be sure to keep in mind you might have to wear more adventurous shoes if we’re going to be hiking or adventuring around cliffs to be safe. The last thing you want to do is feel like you have to wear your heals on the rocky cliff edge, so choose a dress where you can cover your feet easily and also that is safe to walk in if you plan on going to a little more adventurous location. Also don’t be sad if you get that classic Kauai red dirt on your wedding dress, just enjoy the moment and know that a little peice of your adventure story will always be there afterwards, and it’s always worth it for the photos;)
Be sure to watch their beautiful highlight film as well at the bottom of this post, enjoy!
