griffin pulled up the car to the meeting spot and jessica jumped out and ran towards us. you could see how excited she was and from the second we said hello. this girls smile just exudes light and joy and as soon as i saw her i felt like she had been an old friend for years. when griffin walked down to join us and i saw them together i knew it was going to be a really special evening. they grabbed their vows and picked a spot by the water. it was a grey sky day and after shooting in 2 solid weeks of rain i was just grateful it wasn’t pouring outside. they stood there at the edge of the water, holding hands and reading their vows to each other. when they finished griffin slowly brushed the tears off of her cheek as he looked at her with the most joyful eyes. i kinda wanted to tear up i felt so much happiness for them.
this night will always be memorable for me for a few reasons but one reason is that it no joke ended up being the most incredible and unexpected sunset OF MY LIFE! the grey sky all of a sudden turned into fire, and the ocean was lit up in a million different shades of red and purple reflecting off of the sky. everyone on the island was loosing their minds over the colours of the sky, and in a place where beautiful sunsets are on the daily, there was definitely something special about this one. we all stood in awe after i had shot what felt like a million photographs (i just couldn’t stop!), and jessica said she saw it as a good Oman for their marriage to have such rainy sky’s turn into such a beautifully painted canvas, i couldn’t agree more.
enjoy the photographs, and another thanks to peter for taking some killer drone photos! we just loved these two:) congratulations again jess and griffin!! xox
