Imagine a wedding day where you get to explore different corners of Kauai while still keeping everything relaxed and stress-free. That’s exactly how Morgan and Brooks celebrated their day. From the moment they reached out to us about photography, it was clear how important capturing these memories was to them. As their Kauai wedding photographer, we were excited to help guide them in creating a day that not only checked all the boxes but also told their love story beautifully.

In the early stages of planning, they already knew their main locations: getting ready at their south shore resort, a ceremony at the historic St. Raphael Church in Koloa, and an intimate dinner reception at Duke’s in Kalapaki. That left us to piece together the moments in between and those became some of the most magical parts of the day.

Originally, Morgan and Brooks thought about heading to a nearby beach for family and group photos after the ceremony. But with the size of their group, the church grounds turned out to be the perfect backdrop. Afterward, we whisked them away to a golden sand beach for their newlywed portraits, an intimate moment just for the two of them.

From there, Meg and Peter led them up a short path to the cliffs, where sweeping coastline views framed the most breathtaking images. Morgan’s hair and dress danced in the wind as she held Brooks close on the cliff’s edge, creating one of those picture-perfect moments you never forget.

As the sun softened, we made our way to Kalapaki for their dinner reception at Duke’s, where friends and family were ready to celebrate. On the walk in, we stumbled upon an unexpected gem, a simple white wall draped in greenery, that became the backdrop for some of our all-time favorite portraits of the day.

By exploring several unique spots on Kauai, Morgan and Brooks ended up with a gallery that was not only diverse but also told the full story of their wedding. As a Kauai photographer, we love finding the magic in every location, whether it’s a cliffside, a hidden beach, or even the corner of a building. Every photo captures not just a moment, but the emotion that makes it unforgettable.
