The festivities began with a welcome party at the Grand Hyatt Kauai. Before the party kicked off, Meg and Dayna met up with the grooms at a nearby beach, where the stunning ocean and mountains provided the perfect backdrop for some intimate photos. It was a meaningful moment for Matthew and Ryan before they dove into the excitement of their wedding week. At the welcome party, they were greeted with tropical cocktails and appetizers, and their friends and family were gifted beautiful, unique leis by Lei Papahi. A special touch was the sign Matthew used when he proposed to Ryan, bringing the celebration full circle.
The fun didn’t stop there! A couple of days later, they took their guests on a catamaran tour of the Napali Coast with Captain Andy’s. The 5.5-hour adventure included snorkeling, breathtaking views of the coastline, and the chance to spot dolphins up close. Micah and Dayna were there to capture every magical moment of this unforgettable day. From the beauty of the Napali Coast to the Sneaky Tikis (Mai Tais) served on board, it was a day full of joy, laughter, and adventure.
When the big day arrived, Matthew and Ryan got ready together at the Grand Hyatt Kauai before heading to their oceanfront ceremony at The Beach House in Poipu. Both grooms looked sharp in matching white jackets, black slacks, and polka-dot bow ties, accessorized with elegant multi-strand leis. The ceremony space was breathtaking, with bamboo chairs, white flower petals lining the aisle, and a two-post wooden arch draped in lush vines. Yet, the real showstopper was the flower wall by the cocktail hour area, adorned with strings of delicate blooms.
Their reception under a clear-top tent was a tropical coastal dream come true. With twinkle lights, rattan chandeliers, and hanging vines, the atmosphere was both elegant and enchanting. The wooden farm tables were beautifully set with rattan chargers, blue napkins, and vintage blue goblets, creating the perfect setting for the celebration. Matthew and Ryan’s first dance, which they had practiced for months, was a highlight, performed under the twinkle lights as the sun set, adding to the romantic ambiance.
Working as their Kauai wedding photographer and videographer, we were honored to capture the beauty and joy of Matthew and Ryan’s wedding week. From the welcome party to the catamaran tour to their stunning ceremony and reception, every detail was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed by Tiff at The Beach House. Wishing Matthew and Ryan a lifetime filled with love, happiness, and adventure!
