Over 5 years ago, these two were in the bridal party of another beautiful wedding I photographed in Calgary and after a few drinks and shutting down the wedding with them our paths kept crossing. We met up a few months later randomly while both on vacation on Kauai, we adventured the island and had a few too many Mai Tai’s a few too many times. We’ve met up back in Calgary when I lived there and I was so stoked to get to hang with them again this year for their anniversary photo shoot last month on Kauai. These two always leave me feeling inspired to see the world as their wanderlust is even stronger than my own and it seems like they are always doing cool stuff!! I read a quote once that talked about how all relationships need a balance of emotional and recreational companionship and these two have the recreational part down which I admire so much. They dirt bike together, snowboard, travel, hike, jump off cliffs and pretty much anything he can do she does with him which I love. Peter and I hiked with these guys to one of our favorite spots bright and early one sunrise in September and we had the most magical morning. Happy 10th anniversary to these two, they are the real deal!
